Meet the Owners and Personal Trainers
Jo-Jeff Dunbar & Tasha Mae
You don’t have to do it alone,
we’re here to help.
Jo-Jeff and Tasha first came to Gabriola because of their love of nature and community. Fitness has been a lifelong passion.
If they’re not at the gym working out, or with personal training clients, you may find them cold plunging in the ocean, walking their dog through the amazing island trails, or having dinner with family at the beach.

Owner, Personal Trainer, Vijnana Yoga
Movement is Tasha’s passion and she considers herself a lifelong student. As a personal trainer and a yoga teacher, Tasha focuses on breath, pelvic floor, core, hands, feet, form and alignment.
Although Tasha coaches and trains all genders, she’s become passionate about working with those who were born into a female body.
Strength training in a female body is unique. Tasha brings that unique training into all her group or one on one training.
Being curious and interested in the most wholesome way to keep a body healthy, strong, and well balanced, Tasha uses traditional lifting practices and combining it with her studies of breath and whole body connections.
Her approach is to build a strong body from the inside out.
